LEGO AD BREAK WORK

I think that the Lego movie ad break is used because it shows the reader what the movie will be like.  This is because during the ad break, mini clips of Lego characters in different settings are played, giving the audience a small taster of how the movie will be animated, and showing it is not a poor quality movie as some people may think about it before it starts.

The Lego movie ad break also gives the audience a bit of mild humour to take in before the full movie.  This is proven to make the audience ready for the movie and what it will be like, instead of going straight in and watching it without realising what to expect.

Also, the Lego movie could appeal to people who have never heard of it because of the ad break.  For example, if people are sitting down and watching TV and they watch the ad break on say Youtube, or an actual ad break on the show they are watching itself, you might want to see what that movie is actually like and if you, or your kids will enjoy it.

The Lego movie ad is also to make adults think that the movie is not just something for kids.  According to Drum, the Lego movie “is needed to get adults who could easily dismiss it as a ‘kids film about toys’ to go and see it.  We needed a media solution which would rekindle childhood memories of the magic of the brand and unlock their inner child by joyously turning part of their recognizably ‘grown up’ world into LEGO.”

This shows that adults should rekindle their love of Lego from their childhood and join in with the fun of the LEGO Movie just how kids are doing.  The producers of this show do very well in making it a fun movie for all people to watch.
